Hello. My name is Sybil Vanessa Walker as my shirt, says here simple. Vanessa Doula extraordinaire, and I am an international Doula Institute graduate. I have my certifications as a doula, my postpartum certification should be here in four weeks. And within the next few months, I should be certified through the international Doula Institute in breastfeeding coaching Advanced lactation, 2012 childbirth. Educator prenatal nutrition, educator.
And diversity equity and inclusion birth worker? What is there not to say about the international Doula Institute? I tell you when God just planted this institute in my life, it was just confirmation to what I need to do for the rest of my life. As my career. Along with Ministry, work my teacher, windy who is my teacher for birthing Doula and postpartum, it has been absolutely phenomenal. The Institute staff is phenomenal. And I know for a fact on my other teachers are going to be just as
wonderful.  What is there not to say about being a positive and impactful person, when it comes to the most momentous and memorable moment of any birthing person or woman’s life, and that’s giving birth. There’s only two things that usually happen in this world and that’s life or giving birth and death. The only guarantee is death, because in life, sometimes people pass away quicker than we expect. But I love Wendy. She’s been patient and encouraging. I’ve been through a lot and she’s been everything I need outside of God.
Jesus, the holy spirit in my Bible and I know that if you love babies and women and you want a career as a doula, the international Doula Institute is the most phenomenal place to be because they are so full. So, full circle. They are a plethora of all things. Great and wonderful and you will receive everything you need to be able to provide your clients throughout the entirety of their pregnancy postpartum and on with the greatest experience and a Priceless memory, God bless”

Very positive experience with IDI

I found this course well organized and easily accessible for a very active care provider to complete. Thank you for your support! The hardest part was putting myself on camera!

To help support a Mother through such an awakening of an experience, a milestone, a gateway to Motherhood and all that will be learned and witnessed is a very priveleged space to hold ones hand and guide. Hello, this course was user friendly. I enjoyed that I was able to complete everything at my own pace while being a wife and stay at home mother. There was great reading material included as well. I learned a lot of information to help me start my career as a postpartum doula.

I have absolutely loved how IDI does there courses. All the teachers are so helpful and encouraging along with being so understanding when struggles arose. I have dyslexia and I was so worried about whether or not I would be able to accomplish this or not because I struggle so much with reading but the way IDI has it set up for us to work at our own pace was key to my success. I am so thankful to be a student at IDI and soon to be certified Doula. I am so grateful to all the teachers at IDI for all that they do for their students. I couldn’t do it without them. Thank you!

I really enjoyed taking this course and putting it into practice with my clients. I enjoyed reading and learning about postpartum. This section really intrigued me as I was someone who struggled with postpartum depression with both of my pregnancies. Both due to different situations and circumstances. I also enjoyed creating meals and snacks because I love to cook! It is a nice touch to be able to add that to my services.

This course gives great education while allowing the freedom to live your life, raise your kids, and tend to any other commitments you may have. The professors are available if you need support but overall you have a good amount of independence to pursue this at your own pace.

IDI is amazing!! I have learned so much! I first bought the post-partum doula curriculum and as I was doing it inspired me to also buy the birth doula curriculum!! You learn so much and the support is amazing!! IDI truly cares for each student. Highly recommend!!

Hi everybody. I just want to jump on here and say how grateful I am for this program. And for the International Doula Institute itself, since I started my journey becoming a childbirth delight and a postpartum doula. I will say that I have learned so much valuable knowledge and I can’t wait to share it with all the moms out there. I want to start off by saying thank you to each and every staff member present past and those to come the setup for these courses is amazing. In the process of studying to be a birth. Doula I discovered how much I really love what I do and then I picked up being a lactation specialist and it’s only
we a tip of the iceberg and I’m topping it off with being a postpartum doula trained and now focusing on being a childbirth. Educator, but let’s talk about postpartum. This is where the biggest amount of help in my own. Personal Journey made the huge difference for me and gave me what I needed to move myself forward and I desire to do that for other families.
It takes something, you’ve got to give up something and you’ve got to lean in on your community and your village. Even if you don’t have one, you got to find a way to create one and here and IDI. You gave me the tools that I can now pass on teaching others, how to create their Village and their communities, so they can lean in and lean on. Thank you.

I would recommend IDI over and over again! There was many times when I felt challenged with the assignments because some of them took me out of my comfort zone but the curriculum was easy to follow! My instructor Wendy is phenomenal!!! She was always accessible, the very few times I didn’t reach her directly, she immediately returned my calls. Always joyful, always patient and always helpful and encouraging! I needed an extension bc I had so many personal issues on my plate, my mom has dementia for one. Wendy did not know what I was dealing with, she has not idea what it meant to me, knowing she was there to guide me when I needed it. Thank you so very much IDI and thank you Wendy for being you!

I think I registered around march or so aim not sure, but having been given adequate time of at least a year to finish this course was game changing. I had just had my daughter and for about six months I couldn’t even open to start reading even though i knew i wanted to achieve this skill before the year ended. I am glad for international doula institute for laying everything down, easy for everyone to read and understand. I also loved the fact that I did not always having to get too ready to take video assignments, lol. Overall i think this was the best decision i ever made in 2024.

My time with IDI was an experience I would recommend to anyone looking for a Doula Certification. I chose postpartum because in my line of work I have the pleasure of supporting mom’s who recently delivered. The program is easy to navigate the assignments were easy to understand. I am very happy with my classes and learned how to start my Doula services. I definitely would recommend this program.

This DEI for Birth Workers  course was very eye-opening, informative and important. This course is crucial to effectively understand our own biases and recognizing the differences in each other.
